Bisher war man mit einem iPhone ziemlich limitiert, wenn es um die Nutzung von Smartwatches ging. Aber nun ist es endlich soweit – Android Wear funktioniert nun auch mit iOS Geräten.
Google teilte gestern im offiziellen Androidblog mit, dass ab sofort Android Wear Uhren mit iOS unterstützt werden. Bisher konnte man nur die Pebble, Pebble Time oder eben die Apple Watch mit dem iPhone koppeln. Damit erweitert sich eure Auswahl an Smartwatches immens, denn es gibt bereits eine ganze Menge an Android Wear Uhren, die auch im billigeren Preissegment unterwegs sind – wie bspw. die Moto 360.
Get your info at a glance: Check important info like phone calls, messages, and notifications from your favorite apps. Android Wear features always-on displays, so you’ll never have to move your wrist to wake up your watch.
Follow your fitness: Set fitness goals, and get daily and weekly views of your progress. Your watch automatically tracks walking and running, and even measures your heart rate.
Save time with smart help: Receive timely tips like when to leave for appointments, current traffic info, and flight status. Just say “Ok Google” to ask questions like “Is it going to rain in London tomorrow?” or create to-dos with “Remind me to pack an umbrella.”
Wichtig für euch zu wissen: Offiziell wird bis jetzt nur die LG Watch Urbane unterstützt, der Support für Uhren von Huawei, Motorola, Asus etc. wird aber demnächst nachgeliefert. Erste Hands-Ons haben jedoch gezeigt, dass auch andere Android Wear Uhren unterstützt werden. Schaut euch die Videos an und macht euch einen Eindruck davon:
